The meals normally available at Louisbourg Fortress include non-fish, non-seafood items. But they were shutting down with in a day or two so they had a very limited selection when we were there.

If you discover the secret to keeping everyone entertained, please let me know. We just try to alternate the things we do to best hit everyone's interests and activity levels.

Nova Scotia tourism produces a big book called the Doers' & Dreamers' Travel Guide. We found it very useful trying to locate interesting things to see and do along the way.

This was truly appreciated. I am bringing family with me on a genealogical expedition this July and was wondering how to keep everybody entertained. I am a history buff, but lots of times that leaves me to wander about in solo. If you happen to have any suggestions regarding route I would appreciate that as well as we are driving from Connecticut and hope to see Nova Scotia (Digby, Cape Breton & Pictou) and New Brunswick and PEI. Any tips on saving $$$ and time would be greatly appreciated. Also - I am deathly allergic to seafood and that includes all sea fish. Will I be able to eat at Louisbourg Fortress?
