So, here I am in San Juan, Puerto Rico, waiting in line in front of U.S. Immigration. And waiting. And waiting. I’m the fourth in line, and have been for the last 40 minutes.
That’s because there appears to be a nationwide outage of the U.S. Immigration Service’s computer system. That means that thousands upon thousands of people are similarly stuck in line around the United States.
I’ve only heard of this happening once before, and that was earlier this year in Los Angeles, where it took ten hours for their systems to come back on-line (link here).
Oops – looks like things may have been fixed – 45 minutes later…
